Relocation of weigh-hoppers, site-wide annual service and infestation works

The Problem

The client was reorganising their bakery to facility new equipment, and required their weigh-hoppers to be relocated. They were also overdue their annual service and had evidence of infestation in the conveying system.

The Solution

A window of production down-time was available, in which two weigh hoppers were disconnected and relocated, with the conveying system extended to their new location. As equipment was removed, it was stripped, treated for infestation, and serviced before being reassembled and refitted. The silos and weigher hoppers were calibrated, the magnet checked and appropriated certification issued.

The Outcome

The equipment was safe to use as it was free from infestation. The project was completed in a short timescale, finishing on time with certified and tested equipment. The client was able to restart production as planned.
