Off-site refurbishment of Rotary Valves

The Problem

The client’s system has two conveying lines that feature equipment that is obsolete but identical. On one of the lines, the vanes on a rotary valve were worn allowing air to by-pass into the valve.

The Solution

The client had an additional valve in their stores. We collected this, and it was stripped, repaired, rebuilt and tested before being returned to site. The client swapped this into one of their production lines and the faulty valve was removed and recommissioned as above. This was then swapped into the second line, and the third valve was recommissioned and returned to their stores.

The Outcome

The client was able to restart production at a reduced speed, from the plant being idle. With the information provided, the client was able to repair the root issue, to enable full production to restart. The client’s records were updated with the correct parameters.
