System Software Optimization
The Problem
The client has two systems consisting of one silo feeding one weigh hopper. An increase in demand for the product meant they were running at capacity and not meeting their production requirements.
The Solution
We attended site with a mechanical and an electrical engineer, and surveyed the system. Software from the PLC’s was downloaded and compared, then modified to remove downtime, re-ordered to improve the process, and sped up allowing a greater throughput.
The Outcome
Site now have improved production speeds and are able to produce more batches per hour, improving efficiency with minimal costs. There is the benefit of identical software on both systems.
